than providing the long over due necessity’s for the many<\/p>\n

adding an inch of fresh pavement<\/p>\n
on top of an old worn out Road<\/p>\n
made of patches over patches over patches<\/p>\n
with no base under the Road<\/p>\n
using a Blade instead of a real Road Paver<\/p>\n
only makes a bad road worse<\/p>\n
and is a total waste of time and money<\/p>\n

greg.lemon@helenair.com<\/a><\/p>\n ~<\/p>\n \u2026letter to the Editor<\/p>\n of the Helena<\/p>\n ~ IR ~<\/p>\n Opinion Page<\/p>\n Reader\u2019s Alley<\/p>\n Greg Lemon<\/p>\n ~<\/p>\n ~ The Worst Road to Everywhere ~<\/p>\n To: The<\/p>\n Helena City & Lewis and Clark County<\/p>\n Commissioners<\/p>\n and<\/p>\n dowl.com<\/p>\n and<\/p>\n The State of Montana<\/p>\n in regards to the<\/p>\n Trails West Project<\/p>\n at the intersection of<\/p>\n Joslyn Street ~ Leslie Avenue<\/p>\n and<\/p>\n Country Club Drive<\/p>\n where all the<\/p>\n Mega Loads<\/p>\n Over Size Loads<\/p>\n Extra Wide Loads<\/p>\n Extra Tall Loads<\/p>\n Large and Small Buildings<\/p>\n Houses<\/p>\n big and small<\/p>\n Over Size Construction Equipment<\/p>\n Convoys of Weekend Worriers<\/p>\n Convoys of the full time Montana National Guard<\/p>\n Over Size Military Equipment<\/p>\n with and with out the Military Convoys<\/p>\n with and without the Weekend Worriers<\/p>\n from here<\/p>\n and<\/p>\n from as far away as the<\/p>\n West Cost to the East Cost<\/p>\n that pass through<\/p>\n Helena Montana<\/p>\n that<\/p>\n ~ must go ~<\/p>\n through this intersection<\/p>\n to get through Helena<\/p>\n ~<\/p>\n To improve flow for the community as a whole<\/p>\n to increase Public Safety and avoid increased Congestion and Confusion<\/p>\n at this very busy and very Dangerous Intersection<\/p>\n ~ I would ~<\/p>\n put shoulders and side walks on the existing roadways<\/p>\n benefiting everyone<\/p>\n and not the City Commissioners Plan<\/p>\n that could include a Round About in the Future<\/p>\n that would only benefit the few ~ the few who would only increase the dysfunction<\/p>\n of this already very dangerous Intersection<\/p>\n that has been very neglected by the local governments for over thirty plus years<\/p>\n ~ This Road To ~<\/p>\n and<\/p>\n very used short cut to the<\/p>\n Lincoln Community<\/p>\n Rogers Pass<\/p>\n Black Foot River<\/p>\n Flesher Pass<\/p>\n Stemple Pass<\/p>\n Priest Pass<\/p>\n Canyon Creek Community<\/p>\n Marysville Community<\/p>\n Great Divide Ski Area<\/p>\n Silver City Community<\/p>\n by way of<\/p>\n Birdseye Community<\/p>\n Austin Community and Mullan Pass Road<\/p>\n Birdseye Scratch Gravel ~ Echo Drive Recreation Area<\/p>\n where I live and drive from and to everyday since 1999<\/p>\n used for<\/p>\n Hunting ~ Hiking ~ Biking ~ Horse Back Riding and Public Events<\/p>\n Fort Harrison Military Complex and Fort Harrison Veterans Hospital<\/p>\n Head Lane Scratch Gravel Community<\/p>\n World Famous Archie Bray Foundation<\/p>\n Green Meadow Golf Course<\/p>\n Spring Meadow Lake State Park<\/p>\n and all the other Recreational and Wood Cutting areas between Helena and Lincoln<\/p>\n ~ this paved over ~<\/p>\n Wagon ~ Trail<\/p>\n that has no base or shoulders to even change a Flat Tire on<\/p>\n that has no Guard Rails where many have Died<\/p>\n while based on use<\/p>\n this very Neglected County Country Road ~ should be ~ a State Highway<\/p>\n as we spend more money on<\/p>\n Roads to Nowhere<\/p>\n while spending no money for a<\/p>\n Road to Everywhere<\/p>\n with signs along the Road that say<\/p>\n Share the Road<\/p>\n where there is no Road to Share<\/p>\n this very busy Road<\/p>\n that is used for many Public Events<\/p>\n is the<\/p>\n Worst Road to Everywhere<\/p>\n ~<\/p>\n so what happened to the<\/p>\n Federal Funds Ear Marked for the Birdseye Road<\/p>\n and the Bond Funding Passed by the Voters<\/p>\n of the Birdseye Community<\/p>\n for Improvements of the Birdseye Road<\/p>\n that we are paying for<\/p>\n above and beyond<\/p>\n our Gas Taxes and Property Taxes and Income Taxes<\/p>\n ?<\/p>\n Lewis and Clark County<\/p>\n spent the Voters Bond Money on 7 new Trucks<\/p>\n and gave Birdseye Road an overdue Chip and Seal<\/p>\n instead of Improving the Road<\/p>\n while the Majority of the Birdseye Community<\/p>\n receive very little for their Tax Burdens<\/p>\n other than the the worst road to everywhere<\/p>\n while the City of Helena Commissioners are Planing to<\/p>\n make this Dysfunctional and very Dangerous<\/p>\n Intersection<\/p>\n that is:<\/p>\n the entry point to the worst Road to Everywhere<\/p>\n to make it ~<\/p>\n more Dysfunctional and Dangerous<\/p>\n ~ to Benefit the Few with a Luxury ~<\/p>\n ~<\/p>\n Bruce A.
